our little family

Richard and Jessica

We consider ourselves newlyweds even though we just celebrated our One Year Anniversary. I will probably consider myself a newlywed up until the day we have children. Richard grew up in Midlothian, Virginia and Jessica is from Eden, North Carolina. Our lives ended up crossing at Greensboro College where we started our relationship which eventually led up to saying our vows on September 3rd, 2011.  It was a wonderful day full of family and friends making lots of joyful memories. Even though our "wedding" was fun, we both realize that it takes a lot more than vows and first dances to make a "marriage".  We rely ourselves on Jesus knowing that he has great intentions and plans for happy life. We attend Journey Christian Church and have enjoyed getting involved by serving as greeters and getting plugged into a small group. You can read more about our church - Here.  Richard works as a Pricing Analyst at Estes Express Lines and Jessica is a Pediatric Radiologic Technologist at St. Mary's Hospital. We currently live in a townhouse but have plans to sell and upgrade sometime next summer. We enjoy treating ourselves to a good meal especially when it involves a good gift card or coupon! Weekends are usually full with visiting family, hanging out with friends, Richard & golf, the farmer's market, walking and playing with our dog: Lilly, dates, and church. We consider ourselves very blessed to enjoy many things going on in our lives and we are so happy you have decided to join us by reading this blog! Somewhere in all the words we pray that you find a little hope, laughter, some encouragement, and similarities in your lives with us.

Lilly

Lilly is our miniture goldendoodle. She is almost 3 years old and is very spoiled rotten. It is very hard not to love her cute face and soft fur. Thank goodness she does not shed! She definietly brings us lots of joy. She loves her grandparents because they feed her special treats and they also love giving her attention. She enjoys walks - especially when we take her to a place that she can run free without a leash!
